But we still get asked about her face just about every other time we are out; a reminder of how far we have yet to go. We hope nature takes care of some of it, darkening her skin a bit, making her blue nose look less like a bruise. There is still the angiogram that will tell us what role, if any, sclerotherapy may play for her. And, eventually, as a teenager, makeup will help what nature and lasers do not. I wonder sometimes if she will be self-concious in a bikini - will she be able to embrace the spider veins that course along her abdomen, or will she prefer to keep them hidden? Of course, we have a solid 10 to 15 years before we will scratch the surface of teenager-dom, and there may be more cosmetic options at that point.
